My English Journey by Ines

The following story was entirely written by Ines Garrot

« I started English when I was 11 and I have always liked it. When I was 13, my mother asked me if I wanted to take English classes with Jazz, I wanted to improve my English, so I agreed and I immediately liked it.

Taking English classes with Jazz is as much interesting as amusing. It is very different from English classes at school as it isn’t just about learning grammar or following the English school program. You are going to go farther by learning new skills such as how to speak fluently, how to be more confident while you’re speaking, how to improve yourself in the topics you are struggling the most. You are going to learn so much new vocabulary about everything.

After my first year, Jazz pushed me to start watching my series and reading in English.  I have the feeling that it’s one of the things which made me progress the most because I am a huge fan of reading and watching series. I even put my phone in English, followed more English native speakers on social media. All those things were to see, hear and speak English as much as I could. I didn’t know what I wanted to do in the future, and I still don’t. However, in my opinion English is vital for everything and it is a huge life tool.

Today, I am 16 and even though I moved to France, I still have classes with Jazz on Zoom. Last summer, I went to a summer camp with Education First in England for 3 weeks and I literally adored it. I had as many English classes as activities and it was amazing to be in a foreign land with new people, speaking only in English. At the end of my stay, I had a test to evaluate my level and I achieved a C1.

I think that we are a generation where English at school has become more important than it used to be. It is a chance and if you have the ability to take English class with Jazz, don’t miss it! 🙂 »
